David Gillanders is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, member of the British Psychological Society, Health & Care Professions Council, Association of Clinical Psychologists (UK), British Association of Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapy and a founder member of the Association for Contextual Behavioural Science.
He leads a programme of research into the application of contextual behavioural science to living well with ill health, as well as research into training, supervision and basic measurement in behavioural science. He has published more than 70 peer reviewed articles and several book chapters, and is co-author of the self-help book, “Better Living with IBS”. He is a founding member of ACBS, an ACBS Fellow and a peer reviewed ACT trainer with ACBS. The peer review is the international association’s mark of high quality, high fidelity ACT training. |

Nanni Presti is Associate Professor in General Psychology at the Kore University of Enna in Sicily. His original degree was in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Catania. Following this, he specialised in Clinical Psychology at the University of Milan. He completed a PhD in Human Interactions at IULM Milan. Following several positions in Rome, Milan, California, and Jordan, he returned to Italy in 2013 to Kore University where he founded the KUBE lab (Kore University Behavioral Lab). The lab team includes undergrad and graduate students investigating RFT based applications in special education, experiential avoidance tasks using the IRAP, and the effects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). The areas of application of ACT range from traditional clinical settings to workplaces and from chronic pain to sports. Lab members are also contributing to the validation of ACT related scales and other clinical tools. There is a special focus on studying the integration of technology in clinical and education settings, collaborating with the School of Computer Science at Kore University of Enna, Behavioral Labs in Catania, the Department of Engineering of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, and CERN.
